Hetty Kate presents a radiant and sparkling collection of her favourite standards from The Great American Songbook, performed as a trio and infused with a refreshing sense of fun. The songs give you the feeling you're enjoying an intimate live performance.
For this collection, Hetty invited her friend and outstanding guitarist James Sherlock, along with celebrated bassist Tamara Murphy, to collaborate on the music; and this collection was recorded over one sunny afternoon at Pughouse Studios in Melbourne. The day was filled with stories and laughter as the songs were recorded, and this convivial energy certainly gives the final sound a sense of 'life' with no trace of over-production.
We hope you enjoy the music, and thank you for listening!
